Licenses are available with no fine through January at the Town Clerk’s window. Please bring your current rabies certificate if you are unsure if the town has the most current rabies information. The cost is unchanged at $6 for an altered dog and $11 for an unaltered dog. The state late fee of $25 more will take effect on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012.You may license your dog through the mail. Please include the dog’s rabies certificate and a self-addressed stamped envelope with a check (payable to Town of Durham). Mail to: Shannon Plourde, Town Clerk, 630 Hallowell Rd., Durham ME 04222. She will issue you a new tag and mail it along with any rabies or altering papers that you mailed to her. Any questions, please call Shannon at 353-2561, extension 11.
