Town of Durham Informational Session

The Town of Durham will be holding an informational session on the 2017 Town Meeting Warrant on Thursday, March 16th, 2017 at the Eureka Center, 606 Hallowell Road in Durham.  The session will begin at 7pm.

The Town of Durham is seeking applications for the position of Animal Control Officer.  The successful applicant must either be certified by the State of Maine or be willing to become certified.  This position is paid a stipend.  Interested parties should submit an application to, Town Administrator, 630 Hallowell Road, Durham, ME 04222, or adminasst@durhamme.com.

2017 Municipal Election

2017 Municipal Election will be taken place on Friday, March 31, 2017. Polls will be open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m.  Absentee voting is taken place currently at the Town Office during regular business hours.  Cut off for the absentee voting is Monday, March 27, 2017.

2017 Annual Town Meeting

2017 Annual Town Meeting will be held, Saturday, April 1, 2017 . Meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. Forty-two articles will be covered.

Town reports will be available at the Polls and at the Town Meeting. We ask that you respect the cost of the town reports and take one per family and as a Durham resident.

8th Annual Tortoise and Hare 5K Run/Walk

Support the Freeport High School Track Team by joining us for the 8th Annual Tortoise and Hare 5K Run/Walk!  This fun event starts and ends at Bow Street Market on Saturday,  April 1.  Prizes are awarded to the “Hares” or the fastest in various age groups, and the “tortoises”, or the person that can closest predict their time in various male and female age groups.  Overall male and female winners will receive a $100 Bow Street Market Cash Card.

Day of race registration 8 a.m. – $25.00 (Cash)
Start time 9:00 a.m.

6th Annual Freeport high School Mattress Fundraiser

The Performing Arts Department hosts an annual Mattress Sale Fundraiser to raise money for our programs, and this year’s will be held on Saturday, March 18th from 10am-4pm.If you need a mattress, or know anybody else that might need a new mattress, please help support our programs by spreading the word!
