Nomination Papers Available for Selectman Seat and a seat on the Budget Committee

Nomination papers for one (1) seat on the Select Board and one (1) seat on the Budget Committee are available.  Papers are due no later than Friday, May 26, 2017 at 4:30 pm.  Twenty five (minimum) to one hundred (maximum) signatures of registered voters  from Durham are required to be placed on the ballot for June 13, 2017.

Nomination papers are available at the Town Office during regular business hours.  Please call Shannon Plourde at 353-2561, ext. 11 with any questions.

Memorial Day Parade

Come Join us for the Memorial Day Parade!
Parade Registration

The line up starts at 9:00 am on Davis Road for a 10:00 am kick off.

The Parade route starts at the corner of Davis Road and Royalsborough Road, heads south on Royalsborough Road (rte 136), pauses at the Sawyer Cemetery and ends at the Durham Community School.

Large clear trash bags are available at the Town Office for roadside trash pickup.  Pine Tree will recognize these clear bags and pick them up until the 3rd week in May.

7th Annual Main Street Mile

Nike Factory Store is thrilled to support the 7th annual Main Street Mile, which benefits the Freeport Running Boosters.  Gather your friends and family and meet us on Memorial Day for a fun filled run/walk down Main Street, then stay for the parade!  This race is for all abilities and ages!

Trophies to 1st and 2nd male/female in the following age groups:  6 and under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14.  Prizes to the 1st and 2nd male/female in the following age groups: 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and above.

Pre-registration: $10.00 per individual or $8.00 per runner for immediate family of 4 or more.  Online registration fee of $2.75 per runner will be added to the entry fee in the online shopping cart.   Register online at www.runinarace.com.
